Food has been given the prime importance since Vedic period. It is considered as Brahma in Upanisad. This is responsible for the growth, development and enhancement of ojas. Charaka emphasises importance of food. The body as well as disease are formed by food. Wholesome and unwholesome food are responsible for happiness and misery respectively. Consumption of pure food ie satvika ahara makes the mind clear. Thus we serve mainly satvika ahara here. We make food according to the dosa constitution , pakruthi and disease. We give separate diet regiments like slim diet, cholesterol diet ,diabetic diet and normal diet.
